Only if it would have been so easy!!!! The reality is Human beings are not suppose be satisfied. Those who are not getting money will always want more and those who are getting money will always want more respect. :)
I passed out on 2011..gave up on a decent package and working in a field of my interest. The fact that my folks are not dependent on me helped me to take such a decision but giving up money for ur passion is not always easy.
Neil: 2011 is still fresh - Owen cooked, but would like to see how it goes after 3-4 years. I might be wrong but a stage comes in life where people start drawing a comparison table, than enjoying their own life- that is where we start facing problems.
but in the end if you don't feel like going to your workstation then whats the use of working there? :)
How to chose what you like??
I believed it starts with Hierarchy of Needs but so far what i observed is a toggle between money and fav job.
1. I should get a job i like, money doesn't matter- (will enjoy it for 2 years)
2. Cant survive in small package, need more money.
3. Ok i got enough money but need more respect, i should enjoy my job.
4. After Marriage- Opps, i think i will go with money.
My sample size might be small but i think unless we take out one of the factor the indefinite loop will never end....
the more the aspirations the greater is the desire to achieve them.if you and yr partner be it wife or girl friend decide not to become slaves to yr aspirations,i think there is a path to nirvana.
Venky Sir...why there's always emotional drama at work...i have seen people saying mere ghar ka problem mere pati ka problem, mere in laws ka problem....i am fed up of all these shit reasons...why cant people just come to work do there part then get lost???? or just leave the job and sit at home and munch on those problem???
people like to crib and wallow in self pity. god made us like that. next time u come across such a person tell him to shut up. but remember, relationships sour
met an old student whom i taught in 1995. earns a lot of money. told me " sir, aur paisa kamana hai".if need be will shift to bangalore and come and meet family on the weekend.
Just asked a friend to shut up and stop cribbing.....and do what it takes.... in case he needed a "bigger package".... guess the problem is people want the better of both the worlds.... my suggestion to them....STFU...DO OR DIE OR GO TO SLEEP!!!
Baba Venky ki jai ho...
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, for most part timers, its the realization of how crappy your existing job really is.... My take is, fix the money issue first!!
if everyday u have to get up and hate to go to work,no amt of money can fix it

ReplyDeleteSire, the point i am making is we ourselves are not sure what we want, how to find that?
We do get the profile that we are looking for but, do we are really doing that when we join the company..?
ReplyDeleteor do our bosses allow us to do so...?
what you want can be decided by talking to parent, peers etc. either there is clarity or u get confused further
